Top 5 iPhone and iPad Games of the Week (8/08/12)

This week we have 5 more great games - all ranking above an 85. Starting off our weekly series is Fieldrunners 2 a strategy game where you build mazes out of powerful weapons to defend the world from the invading fieldrunners. Then we have three apps all coming in with a 90 AppScore. Tied for second place are (and in no particular order): Pocket Army, a castle defense game where you build your army and lead them in frantic real-time battles against evil, Zync - Simon Says New Generation, is as it's name says a new generation game of the classic game Simon Says and Great Big War Game, a tap and swipe turn-based game featuring funny cartoon military units. Closing out the top 5 is Flight!, a flight simulation game where you master your piloting abilities and see the World while unlocking achievements and upgrading your plane See what all these high scoring top games have to offer.

		Zync - Simon Says New Generation is a new memory game fashioned after Simon Says. The game allows you to sequence and level up, use power ups to help you keep going, different game modes (normal and arcade), achievements and game center to compete with your friends and more. Check out a quote from MacTrast: "Zync: Touch offers a very unique take on a simple and well-loved classic idea, and it does so very, very well. I highly recommend it, especially for the price" (July 18, 2012).

T2.		Great Big War Game	90

		Great Big War Game is the sequel to Great Little War Game. With a greatly expanded single player campaign, brand new online multiplayer and a whole raft of other cool new stuff, there's plenty to please that 2.5 million strong player base. And if you missed the original game, you can still play this one. Check out a quote from PadGadget: "What I liked: Everything about this game is awesome. However, my favorite part is the ability to play with others in online mode. It makes the skirmishes much more exciting. What I didn’t like: Nothing! To buy or not to buy: Fans of strategy board games and other turn-based gaming will love the way this little big war game plays. The price is reasonable. There is no reason not to have this game on your iPad" (July 21, 2012).
