The only drawback to this app is the fact that you are unable to upload your own videos. I’m not sure if this is a restriction by Google, but if you need that ability, then stick with the official YouTube app for now. However, Jasmine is still a great choice for video consumption, so make sure to check it out in the App Store for free. Date: September 24, 2012

Jasmine is simply the best free YouTube client on iOS. You can’t beat the simplicity that this app offers, the interface is spot on and signing into your account is easy. I can’t knock this app for a YouTube fault so have to give it the full 10/10 score. It is even iPhone 5 enabled. Date: October 17, 2012

For those missing the old app-based YouTube experience on iOS 6 (and only on iOS 6 as this app requires it), Jasmine is a fantastic option. Date: September 26, 2012

One of the problems with Google’s YouTube app for the iPhone is that it’s ad-supported. Jasmine is free and supported only by the purchase of the Pro version, which isn’t even available right now since the app’s in-app purchase mechanism is broken. I highly recommend you do purchase this in the future if you plan on using it a lot, because the developer deserves compensation for his work. The only downside of using Jasmine as your YouTube app is that it won’t open links from Safari like Google’s official one for the iPhone does. This isn’t a big problem for most people, but it does mean that you’ll have to do more searching in the app rather than the browser. Date: October 01, 2012

The bottom line. Jasmine is such a stellar YouTube client that even irritating licensing restrictions don't spoil the experience. Date: October 12, 2012

It is unfortunate that Jasmine suffers under the whim of Google when it comes to features that are not standard. Perhaps in the future the developer will be able to innovate in other ways to make Jasmine even more unique. As it stands, the biggest way Jasmine excels over the standard client is with its parenting controls. Date: January 02, 2013
