How are you, old friend?

If you’re reading this, then it worked. I only hope you can still forgive me.

We’ve never seen eye to eye on my research, but you must put such things behind you. You are the only one to whom I can turn.

You must come at once, for we are all in great peril. I trust you remember the house? My study is the highest room.

Press forward with heart. There is no way back now.

AS.

Despite its minor faults, The Room is an all-absorbing puzzle game full of more beauty and mystery than just about anything else on the App Store. Chances are, once you start playing The Room, you’ll voluntarily lock yourself in until you find your way out. Date: September 26, 2012

In the end, would I play The Room again? Probably yes, because I always enjoy a good mind tease. And The Room is an excellent one. No wonder it's been Apple's game of the year pick. But you do need to be in the right mood to play it. And be prepared for long hours, torturing your brain, trying to find the solution to solve the mysteries in The Room. Date: December 25, 2012

The Room is a fine game. Even Apple has taken note of it. Apple has made this game the iPad Game of the Year for 2012, for good reason too. If you like puzzle solving games, room escape games, or simply want a demonstration of what the iPad touchscreen is capable of, The Room is definitely a perfect app for you. Date: January 01, 2013

The Room is a must have for the iPad 2/New iPad with the best puzzles, and puzzle mechanics of 2012. Everything about the game is polished, and highly compelling. I can’t think of a better place to escape to when you are looking for your keys for the third time in a day. Date: September 20, 2012

While point-and-click fans will love every second, The Room is good enough to convert all but the most stringent naysayers to its cause. Date: September 19, 2012

It will take you a couple of hours, perhaps, to make it to the end of The Room, and if you get stuck in one place for too long then there's a hint system that gently points you in the right direction. But I strongly advise you to resist hurrying and savor every sliding panel and twist of a dial. The Room is the cave of mysteries from everyone's childhood; a perfect encapsulation of the fear and pleasure of discovery. If the words "secret compartment" make your fingers tingle, beat your way to the App Store and put them to use. Date: September 19, 2012

The Room is a mind-bending puzzler that anyone can pick-up-and-play. The visuals are breath-taking and the game play is truly well-designed. Besides the fact it felt a little short, there wasn’t anything that I disliked about it. If you love a good mystery and games that make you feel clever, I highly recommend buying The Room today. It’s an Apple Editor’s Choice game this week as well. Date: September 26, 2012

The Room is not a quick game that you can pick up in short five-minute bursts, but rather an intriguing and fun game that requires your attention in larger sessions and that will reward you with one of the most unique gaming experiences that you can have on the iPad. If you like your games a lot deeper than and rewarding than what’s usually found on the iPad, The Room will surely be worth the $5 bucks for you. Date: November 07, 2012

The best part of The Room is that is creates an actual experience that immerses you into the mystery. It’s so easy to pick up, and start playing, but the game hooks you in almost instantaneously. Once you start though, you will absolutely want to keep going to unravel the mystery that is unlike anything else around. Date: January 15, 2013

The secrets are there to be found, and the puzzles so tantalizingly solvable. You might be looking into the abyss, but could you stop? Likely no more than could the man whose footsteps you follow. The search leads you on toward some greater truth—let's hope the future of The Room makes that truth a little more satisfying. Date: September 26, 2012

The Room is an interesting game to try and pin down. I enjoyed my time with it, but I’m not sure I would recommend it to someone else. There’s a definite level of frustration there when you hit the wall and aren’t sure what to do next. The hint system leaves a lot to be desired and nothing takes the fun out of a puzzle game faster than having to go online to find an answer that you can’t come up with. To that end, I’d have loved to see more ways to work out the puzzles yourself. Still, when the game works, it’s really good. Date: October 01, 2012

The Room is great. The puzzles are both challenging and discoverable, and you’ll milk at least three hours of fun gameplay from the app. The graphics and sound are top-notch. If you prize replayability over those other factors, however, note that it’s limited; once you’ve completed The Room, it’s unlikely you’ll want to go through the entire game again. But you’ll probably get a kick out of introducing the game to someone else and watching them work their way through it. Date: November 15, 2012

What We Liked about The Room: The Room is a pretty straightforward game. The sound and graphic effects make this game a worthwhile download. But when it comes to the actual game itself, it can be quite boring. What We Didn’t Like about The Room: The controls of the game were a bit frustrating. Additionally, you can finish the game in just a few hours. Date: December 14, 2012
