Priced at $4.99, and being Universal, this iOS version of The Last Express is a must own for anyone even slightly interested in experiencing one of the best Adventure/Thriller games ever created. DotEmu, the studio who has handled the ports of R-Type, Metal Slug 3, King Of Fighters, Blazing Star and others, has done a fantastic job with the user interface, and keeping the gameplay true to the original on the touch screen. The menus are great, and easy to navigate, and really, the whole gameplay experience is just fantastic. The art style, background music, multiple endings and large cast of characters all make The Last Express a game that you will never forget. Date: September 29, 2012

Luckily, the somewhat flawed game mechanics aren’t a deal breaker here, and The Last Express is almost as good an experience today as it was if you were lucky enough to have played it almost 20 years ago. DotEmu has done a pretty wonderful job of bringing this enduring cult classic to the mobile audience. A good story is timeless, and The Last Express just happens to have an excellent story. Any adventure fan should check this one out. Date: October 01, 2012

The Last Express may still be burdened by the click-through navigation that defined much of the genre in the past, but the marriage of gameplay and storyline remains pitch-perfect in this iOS adaption. Date: October 03, 2012

As a direct and faithful conversion, I suspect adding subtitles would have been a considerable undertaking but one I’d have appreciated nonetheless. Other than that, The Last Express is tremendous. There’s nothing else like it, even after all these years. It’s an exceptional value and a fascinating story. Date: September 27, 2012

The biggest compliment I can give this game is that the story has completely hooked me. Most times the plot feels like something you only pay attention to once you’ve completed the current level of blowing someone’s face off. But here, aided by some brilliantly realised characters, the plot is the game. Like I said at the beginning, this isn’t just playing. This is experiencing. And even though it’s not perfect, in this day an age probably even more than when it was first released in 1997, that’s saying a whole lot. Date: October 09, 2012

The Last Express does show a few signs of it's age and it strictly requires audio, but it plays really well on iOS and its just as enjoyable as it was (and just as novel and unconventional as it was) back in the days of CD-ROM drives and the legalization of divorce in Ireland. The Last Express is a game I want my toddler to play in about a decade, and I have renewed hope that he'll get the chance. Date: October 08, 2012

Mechner’s earlier dreams of being a screenwriter are evident in the Last Express : it’s an engrossing tale of war, espionage, personality clashes. In fact, unsurprisingly, it would make a great movie. Despite its age, It makes a pretty good game as well. Date: November 12, 2012

A brilliant point-and-click adventure that's let down by its pointing and clicking, The Last Express is still worthy of your undivided attention. Date: September 27, 2012
