Tentacles: Enter the Dolphin is one of those rare games that seems impossible without a touchscreen device. Although just about everything about the game is cartoonishly disgusting, even the squeamish should check it out. The unique gameplay and offbeat sense of humor make this crazy platformer a giant winner. If nothing else, watch the trailer below, because you haven't seen another iOS game like this one. What We Liked about Tentacles: Enter the Dolphin: Tentacles: Enter the Dolphin is a brilliantly created game, one that we could not stop playing until we realized that we have spent so much time playing the game. Paired with great touch controls, we can honestly say that this is a game that people will be interested in. What We Didn’t Like about Tentacles: Enter the Dolphin: The only downfall to the game is that there were a few quick sequences. But considering Lemmy cannot move as fast, it was quite a struggle to pass. Fortunately, there is an easy mode for those who do not want to deal with the difficult challenges. Date: October 10, 2012

The inside of a scientist's body is much more fascinating than disgusting, and that kind of encapsulates the entire visual experience of Tentacles. Each new level brings a new experience, although the gameplay, while slowly increasing in finesse of control and difficulty, doesn't change too much as you play through. It feels like the concept could have been stretched a little more, but as it is with the premise, the unique and tight controls, and plenty of levels to play through, Tentacles: Enter the Dolphin is worth the price of admission, and an easy recommendation. A novel concept, I found the gameplay to be pretty intriguing and fun to play. I liked how the game offered much freedom in relation to the movement of the character given that you can pretty much ascend to any spot of the map you are moving along as long as you do not collide and get destroyed by an obstacle. It did creep me out for a bit to how peculiarly deadly the innards of a seemingly innocent dolphin could be.Throw some boss fights into the mix of disgusting internal organs and you have an excellent recipe for a great game title. If you’re willing to overlook the lack of online scoring, and the diminished drive to perform your best because of that, you’re in for a real treat. Press Play has done an outstanding job with Tentacles, and with their previous game, Max and the Magic Marker, they’re definitely a development studio worth keeping an eye on. Hopefully some sort of social score application can be added to the game. Even if it’s new, and players need to sign up for yet another social gaming platform, I believe that they will just to be able to compare scores, and have that added drive and challenge. Until then, that’s the only real thing holding Tentacles back. Date: October 07, 2012

What I liked: This game has a unique concept with gorgeous graphics. I love the idea of a tentacled creature climbing its way through a dolphin, and this is one of the rare games where the theme really makes the gameplay a lot more interesting. What I didn’t like: Tentacles: Enter the Dolphin does not have Game Center integration, which is disappointing. I also found levels to be a bit repetitive, but it was great for playing in short spurts. To buy or not to buy: For just $0.99, this title is well worth purchasing. It’s a great game to play with Halloween approaching too. Date: November 07, 2012

Tentacles: Enter the Dolphin is gorgeous, fluid, and easy-to-play but hard to master. It may be a bit repetitive, but it is still lots of fun. And with the $0.99 price tag, you can have it on both your iPhone and iPad. I recommend giving it a try if you haven’t already. Date: October 08, 2012

At the same time, and as much as we like Tentacles: Enter The Dolphin, it left us wanting more, like online leaderboards for speed runs. That aside, the game definitely satisfies, especially if you spend another $0.99 for the Dog Eat Dog levels. Delightfully weird, you'll never look at a Petri dish the same way again, or lick one, for that matter. Yummy. Date: October 05, 2012

There are times where the game feels a little repetitive – there’s really not much else to do but collect all the orbs and eyes of every level, which is challenging, but leaves a little to be desired in terms of replay. But while the experience lasts, Tentacles is an engaging adventure, complete with amusing cut scenes and lots of platforming action gamers of any age will enjoy. Date: October 09, 2012

Tentacles: Enter The Dolphin was once exclusive to the Windows phone platform, where we could envy its slick visuals and fluid motion. Now that it's here, we're free to travel through its fleshy halls ourselves. It's a journey worth taking, as much as it exposes the horrors of our depths. Let's give thanks that it's only fiction and forget all the creepy crawlies that call us home. Date: October 10, 2012
