Their bizarre sense of humor and rambling dialogue may turn off some of the more “serious” minded gamers. But everyone should really give this game a shot. The story is awesome, the characters are great, and everything about the game exudes fun, imagination, and a deep love for the genre. There’s very little about this game we didn’t like, and whole heck of a lot that we did. Date: October 30, 2012

I have not played the Rain-Slick games before, but so far I’m really enjoying it on my iPhone 5 (optimized too). The visuals and soundtrack are definitely reminiscent of the old-school RPG days, and I absolutely love the Penny Arcade humor in the character dialogue. The only other complaint I have about it, besides the small joystick issue, is the fact that the text in dialogue boxes can be pretty small, considering how much space there is. I hope that this can be amended in a future update. Date: October 26, 2012

Still, I feel like I'm being nit-picky with the controls, as they do work (just not as well as I'd like). Regardless, Episode 3 is an awesome iOS RPG and a wondrous melding of classic and not-so-classic mechanics. When you add in the engrossing story, there's little to not like about the fundamentals in Episode 3. If you're even the least bit curious about traversing New Arcadia, I say hurry up already and take the plunge. Date: October 30, 2012

A breezy attempt at streamlining the classic JRPG, Penny Arcade's On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 offers some neat ideas but arguably doesn't go far enough in modernising the genre. Date: November 09, 2012

Precipice of Darkness 3 is a quite fun old school RPG with new school humour. An uneven level of difficulty, hard to read texts on smaller devices, lack of online leaderboard or achievements and dated sound effects draw the final rating down. It is still worth experiencing if you want a fun adventure with weird bunch of heroes. Date: November 01, 2012
