But be careful, lift a finger, or go out of bounds, and it's game over. Finger Tied will test your mental, as well as your finger abilities!

Finger Tied can be played entirely by yourself, but for even more fun, invite some friends over and Finger Tied makes a great party game!

Finger Tied is quite a bit different from the typical puzzle games that you will find in the App Store, and it’s surprisingly fun to master these tactile challenges. If you’re looking for a puzzle game that’s both unique and tough to master, Finger Tied is an excellent choice. Date: October 20, 2012

Finger Tied ends up being tongue-tied in only two respects for me. The upbeat music wears off shortly, with only one track offered. The game also includes a level editor but feels incomplete without a way to share these levels beyond physically passing the iPad. For now, players have over 100 levels and a way to create an infinite amount more to play locally solo or with friends for $1. If you want a fast-paced game that demands digital dexterity, Finger Tied is an easy recommendation. Date: October 22, 2012

Finger Tied isn’t the first “it’s kinda like Twister but with your fingers” experience we’ve seen on the iPad, but it’s the best I’ve played. One of the main reasons for that is that it can in theory be played single player, whereas most of the others force the multiplayer component on you. Throw in pitch-perfect finger detection and a huge variety of levels (in addition to the creator), and you’ve got a great game that’s both fun alone and in groups. Date: October 22, 2012

Finger Tied is a great app to have. It may not be a free app, but it is one that can’t be compared to any other because it is literally a fresh concept combined with a fantastic design that stretches the limits of the current tactile technologies that the iPad has slinging. The app has no complex graphics. The only complexities are the puzzles and most probably the fingers on it. If you have got $2 on you that you can part with, Finger Tied is definitely a great buy. Finger Tied is a fun game, certainly, but it's ultimately more gimmick than substance. Its puzzle play is rather simple and one-dimensional, and once another capable set of hands is added to your own there's really very little challenge left. That said, Finger Tied represents a novel - and affordable - way to bring iPad puzzling to the realm of local multiplayer social gaming. It's an experience that you can share with your children, neighbours, or anybody else in your vicinity with functioning hands. Date: November 16, 2012
