All things considered, Crow is one of the best games I have ever played. Fluid controls, intriguing gameplay, a deep storyline, and good action are just a few things that Crow has going for it. There is so much more to Crow than I have covered here, but I don’t want to spoil the story for you. I would definitely recommend that you give Crow a try. It has more than earned my seal of approval. Date: April 14, 2012

Crow might not be immediately satisfying, but give it a little time to get going and you'll find a very unique and enjoyable adventure game. Sure, it's a bonus that it looks great, but it plays great, too. Date: April 24, 2012

The gameplay is solid, the atmospheres, graphics, music, and story all blend together perfectly. However, if you’re looking for an adventure game with a long story that doesn’t focus on multiple play-throughs, chances are Crow will not be what you’re looking for. But if you’re trying to find a unique gameplay experience for your iDevice, Sunside Inc has definitely delivered a game with loads of depth below the surface. Date: April 14, 2012

Crow is one of the most visually stunning games I have seen on iOS. It is incredible that this also comes from the studios own produced engine and not from a third party. I do hope they open up the engine and let other developers use it. The graphics, music, setting and story all result in an amazing experience. Date: April 12, 2012

Overall, if you’re after a new action/adventure game with an original theme (and you don’t mind a lot of on-rails combat sequences), or maybe you’re looking for a simple/pretty alternative to Infinity Blade, Crow would be a fairly obvious choice as there isn’t very much else doing this sort of thing on the app store. A unique action adventure title well worth its price tag, Crow is the kind of game that draws you in and sticks with you long after you put it down. While its gameplay is perfectly delivered, the Crow formula still has plenty of room for growth — a wider range of combat skills and squeezing more content out of branching story paths are areas to look at in any sequels. Crow's simple storyline keeps things short and punchy, dragging the player through a wonderful fantasy world filled with strange creatures and challenging rail-shooting segments; fun for all ages. Date: April 12, 2012

This is one of those instances where a game is at its best when you go into it blind. As much as we’d love for the option to replay full stages, there’s enough here to make Crow worth $5, even if it’s just for one playthrough. Date: April 19, 2012

In terms of story, it’s unique. The game is from the perspective of a crow. In term’s of gameplay, it’s unique. It’s sometimes a free-roaming game and at others an on-rail game…a mix of the most open and most restricting gameplay styles there are. And there’s something different and interesting about almost every other aspect of the game including music, sound effects, scoring, and more. This is one of those games everyone needs to try. At times the game’s story and different gameplay sections feel a bit disconnected, but for such an ambitious title technically and story-wise, Crow’s positives far outweigh the small execution issues. Anyone looking for a graphically impressive, mysterious title should really go grab a copy, and prepare to be impressed. Date: April 24, 2012

Crow is clearly a game rich in detail, but it may be too rich. The story is often too confusing to comprehend, and, with no tutorial or instruction, figuring out the mechanics of the game boils down to trial-and-error. This is a game that would be fun to play around Halloween, but is often a confusing experience that leaves us feeling as though we missed the first chapter of a novel. Date: April 14, 2012

Crow is an on-rails dodge ‘em up in third person view with some calmer exploration flight segments. The distances of attacks are not that easy to understand, which makes the battles feel a bit random in nature. More importantly the on-rails nature of the battles can turn the game into an endless flier circling around the enemy. However, the excellent dark mood created by the sound, and mellower flight sections are well worth experiencing. Date: April 12, 2012

Crow should be lauded for ambition and its attempt to raise the bar in mobile gaming. At risk of looking a gift horse in the mouth, however, I’d argue that it doesn’t deviate all that far from the platform’s mini-game standards; instead, it wraps them in a much glossier package. There’s plenty here to enjoy for casual action and adventure seekers alike; the shame is how much higher it could have flown. Date: April 16, 2012

I think it's safe to say Crow is a mixed bag, but is still worth picking up because it so much uniqueness to offer. Because it does look so stellar, you can't help but wish those little design flaws (like trading a d-pad for your finger being in the middle of the screen at all times) weren't there. Still, developer Sunside shows that their in-house platform (called Radiance) has guts, and I can't help but wonder what they'll do with it from here on out. Date: April 19, 2012

When it comes down to it, Crow works in one regard—and that’s as an exploratory experience that lets you see an incredible, shifting world from the vantage point of the sky. It’s a worthwhile experience, but it lacks the breath-taking moments of action that you get the feeling Sunside was going for… Even so, this is quite an introduction of the developer’s in-house game platform called Radiance. Hopefully it will act as an effective warmup and the developer can give us something more well-rounded in the near future. If nothing else, they’ve at least earned that chance. Date: April 22, 2012

Crow offers a unique and intriguing atmosphere and storyline with a great visual design. The gameplay is definitely lacking though, and it feels like you’re just going through the motions. There’s also only three different environments to play through, so there’s not much depth to the basic gameplay either. Crow is worth skipping because it takes multiple elements to make an enjoyable iOS experience, and it comes up short in the most important one, gameplay. Date: April 12, 2012

'Unique' is a word that serves Crow well – it’s a delightfully single-minded experience that works its little socks off to create intrigue with narrative tricks and dazzle with graphical ones. It's just a shame that the end result of this obvious effort isn't more successful. Date: April 20, 2012

The snow-capped mountains, hayfields, twisted forests and caves make it unlike anything we've seen on iOS, and the concept of attacking monsters as a crow sounds great. At the same time, the cornball story, overall slow pace and lame combat make this one game we'd like to forget. So long, $4.99. Date: April 12, 2012
